HKUST Students Received the AIA Scholarships

AIA Group has established the AIA Scholarships in 2020 to support 100 undergraduates a year to attend Hong Kong’s universities. As the second cohort of the AIA Scholarships, 14 students from HKUST have received the scholarship, each receiving an award of HK$50,000 each year throughout their undergraduate program. The AIA Scholarships 2021/22 Awards Ceremony was held on 3 August 2022.

The students were selected based on their academic performance and track record of community service, as well as their need for financial support to pursue higher education. On top of the AIA Scholarships, AIA Foundation will engage with the students throughout their academic journeys, providing them with career-planning workshops, dialogues with AIA’s senior leaders and opportunities to serve community.

The Awards Ceremony was attended by Mr. Jacky Chan, AIA Regional Chief Executive and Group Chief Distribution Officer; Co-chairman, AIA Scholarships Committee and Mr. Alger Fung, Chief Executive Officer, AIA Hong Kong & Macau; Director of AIA Foundation. Representing HKUST is Prof. Yan XU, Associate Dean of Business and Management (HKUST EMBA Program, Executive Programs and China Strategy).
