President Nancy Ip hosted the HKUST Appreciation Reception cum Chinese New Year Celebration on February 2, 2024 at Asia Society to show appreciation for donors, alumni, and supporters of HKUST. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to interact with members of the HKUST Council, senior administrators, faculties, and students to learn more about the university's progress and accomplishments.

The event kicked off with Prof. Ip welcoming the audience and expressing gratitude to donors for their continued support for HKUST. This was followed by a Lion Dance performed by HKUST students and a quiz that provided donors and supporters with the opportunity to learn more about HKUST. The event concluded with a band performance by students from the School of Science.
