The "Tin Ka Ping Scholarship," supported by the Tin Ka Ping Foundation (the "Foundation"), aims to assist students with financial or study needs in overcoming obstacles, broadening their exposure, and pursuing their dreams across seven areas: Arts, Changemaker, Community Leadership, Dream Chaser, Exchange, and Innovation & Creativity.

On May 13, Professor Pak Wo LEUNG, Dean of Students, and Professor King Lau CHOW, Director of the Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented, led a group of nine awardees of Tin Ka Ping Scholarship to visit the Foundation.

During the visit, the awardees explored the exhibition gallery, gained a deeper understanding of the Foundation's establishment, its contributions to students in Hong Kong and mainland China, and how the Tin family continues Dr Tin Ka Ping's vision of fostering a better society. Following the exhibition, Mr TIN Wing-Sin, Chairman of the Board and Mr TIN Hing-Sin, Director of the Board, delivered a speech outlining the mission and vision of the Foundation.

The awardees shared their transformative experiences, illustrating how the Tin Ka Ping Foundation's support has profoundly empowered them to expand their horizons and pursue their aspirations. Each awardee recounted personal stories of growth, detailing how the scholarship has enabled them to overcome significant challenges, seize unique opportunities, and achieve remarkable milestones.

"Future of China Lies in Education." HKUST shares this vision with the Tin Ka Ping Foundation, striving to advance learning and knowledge through teaching and research to support the economic and social development of Hong Kong. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Tin Ka Ping Foundation for standing hand in hand with HKUST in our pursuit of better education for society.
