How does a lifetime of devotion to calligraphy take shape on paper?
To celebrate Dr. Sze Chi Ching’s 90th birthday, HKUST proudly presents a special exhibition showcasing his remarkable journey with Chinese calligraphy.
At the opening ceremony on May 12, HKUST President Prof. Nancy Ip joined distinguished guests to honor Dr. Sze’s mastery. The exhibition features a curated selection of his works, from classical poetry and renowned quotes to his own compositions, each reflecting his profound skills, wisdom and unique artistic style.
Dr. Sze began his calligraphy journey in his youth and has spent over 80 years perfecting a style that is both steeped in tradition and marked by personal expression. His works have been exhibited widely, including a solo exhibition at HKUST in 2009.
