AIA has made a commitment of US$100 million to launch the "AIA Scholarships" program, aimed at empowering 100 outstanding undergraduate students from 10 local universities each year. This initiative not only celebrates exceptional academic achievements but also highlights the vital role of community service. Designed to cultivate young talent and promote sustainable social development, the program is making a meaningful impact. This year, we proudly welcome the fifth cohort of scholars, which includes 13 remarkable students from HKUST, recognized for their impressive academic records and dedication to community service as they pursue their education in Hong Kong. Each selected student will receive an annual scholarship of HKD 50,000 to support their undergraduate journey.
The AIA Scholarships Awards Ceremony 2025 was successfully held on 3 October 2025. Representatives from the ten local universities, including Professor Pak Wo LEUNG, HKUST Dean of Students, attended to congratulate the AIA Scholars at the Ceremony. In addition to celebrating the 100 awardees of the fifth cohort, the ceremony also invited graduates from the recent cohorts who benefited from the scholarship to share their experience. Mr Alger FUNG, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau，and Director of AIA Foundation, scholar and graduate representatives, and singer Mr Hins CHEUNG, shared personal experiences of resilience, compassion and purpose.
