We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Prof. Chia-Wei Woo, the Founding President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to education have made a lasting impact on our community.

To honor his remarkable legacy, the family is establishing the Professor Chia-Wei and Yvonne Woo Endowed Scholarship at the University for HKUST students with a founding endowment of HKD 8,000,000. Please join in supporting a cause that was near and dear to his heart. Your generous donation will serve as a meaningful tribute, perpetuating the spirit of Professor Woo by supporting our future generations in their pursuit of excellence, and to carry forward Professor Woo’s innovation, determination, and can-do spirit.
