About the talk:
HKUST has stood out among other local educators in its embrace of new technologies for teaching and learning. The university is encouraging professors to include ChatGPT and other AI tools in curriculum planning and teaching methods. The university has even come up with its own version of ChatGPT for all university members to use. Although there are concerns about ChatGPT and AI tools replacing human intelligence, Professor Yike GUO, HKUST Provost and a leading computer scientist, sees the technology as breaking up boundaries, and in the future, human intelligence and machine intelligence can communicate, appreciate and enjoy each other.
